DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to manage our cloud infrastructure and streamline our deployment pipelines. You will bridge the gap between development and operations, ensuring our systems are scalable, secure, and highly available. This role focuses on automating manual processes and improving the reliability of our production environments in a hybrid work setup.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and deployment.
• Manage and scale Kubernetes clusters across multiple environments.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure reproducible environment setups.
• Monitor system performance and resolve bottlenecks to maintain high uptime.
• Collaborate with developers to containerise applications using Docker.
• Manage cloud security groups, IAM roles, and network configurations.
• Automate routine operational tasks using scripting languages.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure provisioning.
• Strong expertise in AWS or Azure cloud services.
• Experience building pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Proficiency in Bash or Python for automation scripting.

Nice to have

• Experience with Prometheus and Grafana for observability.
• Knowledge of Helm charts for Kubernetes package management.
• Certification in AWS (SysOps/DevOps) or CKA.

• Reduction in deployment time and failure rates through pipeline optimisation.
• Zero unplanned downtime due to improved monitoring and scaling strategies.
• Full automation of environment provisioning, removing manual configuration steps.
